Announcing auditions for R-S Theatrics’ production of Neil LaBute’s AUTOBAHN
AUTOBAHN will run February 17-26, 2012 with Friday - Sunday performances
General auditions will be December 5th from 7-10pm. For general auditions, please prepare a monologue no more than 2 minutes in length either by Neil LaBute or something “in the style” of LaBute.
Callbacks TBA Callbacks will consist of cold-readings from the script and being that we are hoping to double cast each role, please expect to be at callbacks for more than one hour.
AUTOBAHN is a short play cycle of 7 plays all taking place in the front seat of the car, the following are short synopses of each piece:
- Bench Seat:
Characters – “Girl” and “Guy”
Two college-aged lovers head up to a “lovers lane” only to discover that it’s for two different reasons.
- Merge: Characters – “Man” and “Woman”
A well-to-do husband and wife discuss the wife’s recent business trip…
- Funny: Characters – “Young Woman” and “Older Woman” (only YW speaks)
A young woman enlightens her mother on what she’s learned while staying in a rehab center.
- Road Trip: Characters – “Man” and “Girl”
A cross-country trip is anything than what it appears to be...
- All Apologies: Characters – “Man” and “Woman” (only Man speaks)
A man tries to apologize to his wife…for a multitude of things.
- Long Division: Characters –“Man” and “Other Man” (OM has only one line)
A guy tries to convince his friend that the only thing worth collecting from an ex-girlfriend’s house…is a gaming system.
- Autobahn: Characters – “Woman” and “Man” (only Woman speaks)
A wife tells her husbands of all the problems in their marriage – and all of her solutions/insights.

Auditions will be held in the Soundstage Productions/R-S Theatrics space in Crestwood ArtSpace (just next to the AMC movie theater).
